Junior Officers (Junior Expert Group Coordinators)
Engineering & Technical
About the job
DSO Entity is looking for young technical professionals (1-3 years of professional experience, as well as final-year university students) interested in supporting various Expert Groups in the Secretariat’s office in Brussels.
Presentation of DSO Entity
DSO Entity is the mandated EU-level body representing both electricity and gas Distribution System Operators (DSOs). It brings together around 1,000 DSOs of all sizes across the EU, connecting more than 250 million households and industrial customers to the electricity grid and nearly 75 million to gas networks. Our European association aims to increase efficiencies in the distribution networks in the EU and to ensure close cooperation with Transmission System Operators through ENTSO-E, ENTSO-G and ENNOH. As such,
DSO Entity takes up a key role in the development and completion of the internal energy market. It acts as a platform of cooperation between all the DSOs with the overall objective of positioning itself as an expert body tackling essential matters such as developing network codes & guidelines, promoting the optimal & coordinated planning and operation of DSO/TSO networks, and sharing best practices on flexibility, digitalisation of the distribution systems and the integration of renewable energy sources like rooftop PV and biogas. DSO Entity was formally established in June 2021 after being legally mandated by the revision of the Electricity Regulation (2019/943) as part of the Clean Energy Package.

- Be part of a small, nice and dynamic team that has the ambition to develop DSO Entity into a credible and interactive platform and key energy actor in Brussels.
- To benefit from opportunities for personal development in areas like knowledge, personal networking, and capabilities.
- A full-time contract (possibility for an 80% full-time equivalent) with professional growth, starting soon.
Main responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Expert Group Coordinator and assist the experts to support the work of relevant Expert Groups.
- Assist in the preparation of the Expert Group meetings, including the drafting of agenda, slides, and minutes.

- Monitor regulatory developments on the related technical topics.
- Support internal and external communications on the Expert Group work.
